This course will include traditional and experimental watercolour methods and how they can be applied to landscape, still life and portrait.

  • What you will study
    • How to use loose brush marks
    • Wet in wet and blend brush techniques and some more experimental methods for abstracted landscape and portrait
    • You will use a range of brushes from flat to round headed with a point in size 10 – 12
    • How to blend colours on your brush, wet in wet, flat wash, graduated wash and spatter to name a few
    • You will focus on how to create contrasts between transparency and stronger pigments to describe details
  • Moving Forward

    Develop Portfolio for Access other visual Arts courses or can you use the course to develop a portfolio towards access to a Foundation Course in Art or a BA
